History of Keno
Keno is an exciting game that was first introduced in China by
Cheung Leung about 200 B.C. This lottery was used to refinance his
failing army. Results of the “draws”, tickets at one time were
delivered by pigeons, and the game took the name of “Pak Kop Piu” or
“white Pigeon Tickets.” The game was also used to help fund the
building of the “Great Wall”.
Chinese who immigrated to the United States to work on railroads of
the “Old West” brought the “Chinese Lottery” with them. By changing
the 120- character tickets to a more Americanized 80- numbered
ticket, American gambling halls brought the game Keno into the
modern age. Keno players now have options of 1 to 15-spot Straight
tickets, Way tickets or our 20-spot tickets. They can play from
1-100 games on a single ticket and place their wages with keno
“runners” or “writers”.
Keno Game
The game is played using eighty (80) balls, numbered one (1) through
eighty (80), which are held in a large bowl. A blower mounted
underneath the bowl mixes the balls and sends them, one at a time,
into a tube. A total of twenty (20) balls are forced into this tube,
known as “Rabbit Ears” because of its distinctive design. As the
numbered balls are selected the corresponding numbers are lit on
keno display boards located throughout the Casino. The number of
matches that have been made determines the payoff.
Quick-Pick Keno
If you’re not happy with your own numbers you can have the computer
pick some for you. Fill out a ticket with the price of the ticket
and the number of spots and write “QP” in the number field. The
computer selects the numbers.
Way Tickets
Way tickets are the favorite of most experienced Keno players. They
offer you ability to play several tickets on once.
KENO Multiplier
How to Play
Play the Multiplier every time you play Keno. You could increase
your Keno winnings up to 5 times the original amount. After each
ball draw, the Multiplier wheel will spin and land on 2x, 3x, 4x, or
5x. If you play the Multiplier, your wager price is doubled, but
your prize gets multiplied by the multiplier number drawn. For
example, if you win $10 on Keno and the multiplier for that game is
5, then you will collect a total of $50.
Multiplier Rules
1. The Multiplier does not apply to any progressive payouts.
2. All normal Keno rules apply to Multiplier wagers.
3. As with all Keno wagers, Multiplier winnings are subject to
aggregate payout limits.
4. Multiplier wagers must be exactly equal to the wager on your Keno
ticket.
